PBD Members Expect Results

This is how we deliver

When you enroll:

Upon joining, you’ll be immediately subscribed to receive our National Tobacco chain pricing not available to independents. This grants you access to the PBD Cigarette Pricing calculator (CPC) and subscriptions to our monthly Tobacco Pricing Notification (TPN) and Elite Buyer’s Guide.

Your location(s) will be assigned a PBD Sales & Marketing Consultant (SMC) who will contact you within 3 business days of enrollment to schedule a store visit.

During the store visit, you can expect to spend about 2 hours with the SMC to discuss your challenges and goals. The SMC will tour your location and discuss potential new initiatives to help improve your business.

After the store visit, within 7 business days you’ll have a second meeting with your SMC to review our business strategy report that outlines improvements to existing store elements, and a roadmap to achieve new opportunities for growth. The SMC will walk you through the Elite Buyer’s Guide and Tobacco Pricing Notification, and help you choose the best Promotions to include in your first order.

In the first 3 months:

By the end of your third month as a PBD member, you can expect to enjoy the best comprehensive vendor pricing you’ve ever seen as an independent store.

Your SMC will have visited your location every other week to make sure all programs and promotions are running smoothly, and help with any issues that arise.

You have likely gotten acquainted with our office team who have likely helped address an urgent need for you.

In addition, one or many of our cornerstone PBD Programs have been installed at your location(s) such as:

  • ATMs

  • Air & Water

  • Propane exchange

  • Cash Management & Digital Safe

  • Coffee

During months 3-6:

More upgrades and updates will have been made to your location(s) as a result of our initiatives. By now, many of the first steps are executed, and store profitability is noticeably improved. You’ve learned a lot about how your business can operate more effectively, and as a result of increased profits you’ve likely started to be more proactive than ever about improving your location(s).

You’re well synchronized with the PBD’s promotions schedule. You’ve received one or two quarterly rebate checks, and are excited to continue driving your business to peak performance.

In months 6-12:

You’re noticeably differentiated you from your competitors, and are drawing more foot traffic through your doors than ever before.

Margins have substantially improved, and this is the new normal in your business operations. New revenue streams have stabilized, and you’re feeling confident and aggressive. You’re used to monthly and quarterly rebate checks coming in.

There have been some growing pains as you’ve learned new ways of operating, and have had to enforce changes at your location(s). Training has become a priority, and some employees are taking to it better than others.

Your SMC is now ready to begin helping you streamline your back office operations, introduce you to new technology tools that can not only significantly reduce the time you spend managing your station, but also generate meaningful new revenue streams by unlocking the power of your tobacco and convenience purchase data.


In months 12-24:

You’ll start wondering why you still need us. You’re revenue has improved by a substantial margin, your store feels like a completely different place, your operations are humming. You’ll be feeling a new level of pride in how you’re managing your business. You may even wonder if you still need us! Trust us, it happens.

Your SMC will explain why staying with the PBD program is essential for your future growth. While markets continue to evolve, so does our PBD Membership. Building on our rich history of innovation and leadership in the Convenience & Gas channel, we continue to be a vital resource in bringing you the best new revenue and product opportunities before anyone else.

Our planning and development cycles last between 3 to 24 months. Many of the new initiatives we are working on today will be rolling out to your stores right around this time. We’ll continue to push ourselves, and push your location(s) to the maximum potential.
